Are you interested in what makes people tick? Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and behaviour.  We ask and answer questions such as: what happens if we fail to make attachments with our parents and how can we best treat depression. This is done by understanding the theories and models that different Psychologists have proposed and testing the evidence for these explanations.
Psychology is offered at AS and A2 level. A good standard in English Language; Maths and Science is required, as is a commitment to work hard and get involved.  Classes are interactive and ask students to design and run psychological studies as well as participate in studies.
All careers involve people and your psychological knowledge will help here. Most Universities accept Psychology as a science subject and this can help uni applications & can lead to lower grade offers in certain subjects.
