Year 12 & 13 Sociology is taught at AS and A2 Level. No prior knowledge of the subject is required, but we expect students to have a good standard of English and a keen interest in current social issues. Sociology provides an insight into how our society operates and offers explanations for the behaviour of people in various situations. Students are requires to develop an understanding of sociological concepts, theories and methods and apply them to the topics being studied. The course is fully supported by resources and information on the school’s Moodle VLE.
