Year 11

Year 11 brings many new and exciting challenges for students as they move into the final year of their GCSE and BTEC Studies.  Many decisions have to be made in this year, including destinations for next year: sixth form, college, apprenticeships, full time employment etc.

As ever, our main business takes place in the classroom and it is the responsibility of students to be engaged during lessons, whilst teachers encourage students to recognise and realise their full potential. Students will receive a curriculum guide early in the autumn term to support and guide their studies.
Citizenship will also remain a key feature throughout Year 11, with many aspects of personal, social and health education being covered. This aspect of the curriculum encourages students to learn and grow as individuals, whilst helping them to develop the values and attitudes to make informed decisions about their lives. Citizenship and PSE will also encourage students to participate and become actively involved in the wider school community.
