Gifted and Talented students at South Bromsgrove are identified by a variety of different ways and this information is held on our Gifted and Talented Register. We use a mixture of external data and staff
assessment and gather middle school information towards the end of year 8. We continue adding to and developing our Register until the students leave us. We use this Register to support our planning and provision in the classroom and to identify students for external opportunities and support. We believe in providing an appropriate, challenging and supportive environment where all students can achieve their potential.
'Gifted' learners are those who have abilities in one or more subjects in the statutory school curriculum other than art and design, music and PE; 'Talented' learners are those who have abilities in art and design, music, PE, or performing arts such as dance and drama.
