Practical ways of engaging students in GCSE RE and manageable ways of navigating the demands of the new specification while still doing great RE!
Keynote 2: Teaching Islam: Handling Difficult Issues and Islamophobia, Razwan Ul-Haq Artist & Speaker, and Kate Christopher, RE Today
How do you handle teaching Islam in the classroom in the current climate of Islamophobia? This session will offer thoughts and strategies on how to deal with difficult questions and misconceptions when teaching Islam.
Workshops: Meet the Faith Experts: Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity
Spend an hour discussing the new GCSE specification content with a faith expert and extend your subject knowledge.
Keynote 3: Getting Pupils into Texts – Stephen Pett, RE Today
Lots of practical ideas for helping pupils engage with texts, with a little background theory from hermeneutics, geared to support learning in KS3 and beyond.

How to Book:
Held at Elizabethan manor house Grafton Manor in Bromsgrove, the conference will begin with registration at 8:30am and finish at 3:30pm.
