Women in Music Day

On Wednesday 21st March, South Bromsgrove High will be hosting a concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of Women in Music Day and ahead of the concert, the Founder of Women in Music, Geri Minelli, visited the school and worked with some of the students.

Charlie McKenzie (Music Teacher)  and Geri MinelliWomen in Music support the development of females looking to take up occupational and performance roles within the music industry.   Over 20 local singers, musicians, performing arts groups and schools will be performing at the concert including folk singer, Katherine Priddy; flautist, Helen Foster; Bromsgrove Stagecoach; performers from South Bromsgrove High; Bromsgrove School and Alvechurch Middle School to name but a few.  It promises to be a special evening full of talented female artists.   This is also a fundraising event with all proceeds going to the charity Sightsavers.
