Cyber Safety Conference

On Tuesday 15th May South Bromsgrove High welcomed nearly 50 pupils from years 3 and 4 for a Digital Safety Conference. The event was attended by children from Finstall, Millfields, Blackwell and Charford First Schools and the conference was run by a group of year 9 and 10 students form South known as the ‘Digital Leaders’.

Across the morning, the children learned about the rapid development of technology and discussed how young people can use the internet safely and sensibly. They worked well with the Digital Leaders to produce a presentation advising other children about how to stay safe online and these resources can be developed further and used in their own schools.

Mr James Siddle and Mrs Steff Walker who co-ordinated the event were blown away by the children’s’ knowledge and enthusiasm and were really impressed with the skills displayed by the Digital Leaders. South Bromsgrove High is hoping to host more events like this in the future!
