South Raises Money For Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity
The staff and students at South Bromsgrove had great pleasure in presenting a cheque for £1,244.84 to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
Joanna said “Mr Law and I started raising money last October for Birmingham Children’s hospital as we both have personal connections to the hospital and wanted to give something back to the amazing team of nurses and doctors that provide the excellent care. This is something I had personally always wanted to do.
On Friday 19th October we held a year 12 vs staff football and netball match. The students won the netball match 10-1 and the staff won the football match 7-2. This raised £93.
On Friday 30th November we held a bake sale during Wellbeing week for the staff. During this teachers gave a donation for the cakes and some of the cakes were ‘auctioned off’ for more money. This raised just over £83
We also did the non-school uniform day before Christmas where everyone payed £1 to come in their own clothes.
Back in October I set the target of raising £250 but am amazed that the current total raised is £1244.84 on our just giving page – all of the money is going towards the craniofacial fund in the hospital.
We would like to thank the fundraising team at the hospital for their amazing support throughout all our fundraising – our contact was with Gemma Hooley one of the regional fundraisers (she is in the photo).”
