Sixth Form Transition Work

We would like those students in Year 11 who have applied to join the Sixth Form to work on developing their study skills in preparation for starting Year 12 in September. Firstly, we would like students to read and complete the Effective Study Skills module, which comprises seven lessons that can be completed at home.

Students should collate the evidence of the completed lessons as they will need to bring it with them in the first week back in September. This module can be downloaded below. 

In subsequent weeks we would like students to complete Bridging Tasks for the subjects that they are intending to study in the Sixth Form. These compulsory tasks have been written by subject teachers to provide a foundation for learning in Year 12 and will be checked by subject teachers in the first week in September.  If subject choices are likely to change, we suggest that students complete the work for all subjects that are being considered.
