Train to Teach

South Bromsgrove High Teaching School Alliance is a successful and well-established provider for School Direct Initial Teacher Training. We offer training placements within friendly, supportive and high achieving settings at both primary and secondary level.

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including 3rd year under-graduates, career seekers and career changers.

All teacher training programmes run from September to June and incorporate two school placements along with a comprehensive professional studies programme delivered in schools by serving, experienced teachers.

September 2019 - We are offering training programmes in the following areas:

What do applicants need?

A degree or higher from a United Kingdom higher education institution or equivalent qualification.   Applicants with a degree not related to their preferred subject area will be considered.

All applicants will need to undertake a skills test in literacy and numeracy prior to starting the course.  This is completed once the application and interview process is complete and an offer of a place has been made.  We can offer support and guidance in approaching these tests.
